On Wednesday, the state government passed a proposition exempting films from giving shooting charges, which are shot in the state and this move is taken for advancing the hilly areas, an authority said.
In Uttarakhand, local dialect films shot were till date charged Rs 15,000 for a month whereas films shot in the different language or Bollywood films were charged Rs. 10,000 every day according to the arrangements of Uttarakhand Film Policy 2015.
The new correction to the approach endorsed by Governor K Paul on Wednesday exempts all movies shot in the state from shooting charges, according to an administration arrange. In any case, filmmakers should pay passage or stopping expenses at the shooting scenes as appropriate, it said.
