Shahid Kapoor starts shooting for his upcoming movie titles Batti Gul Meter Chalu city Tehri in Uttarakhand. Shahid and the entire team was in Tehri on Friday for the muhurat of the film. Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat greeted the superstar and gave best wishes for his movie.
Batti Gul Meter Chalu is a comedy-drama produced by the producer Prerna Arora, written by Vipul K RawalShree Narayan Singh is directing the movie. In the movie, Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam will be seen in the lead role opposite to Shahid, both the leading lady of the movie will join Shahid very soon.
In this movie, Shahid Kapoor plays the role of a Garhwali lawyer from Uttarakhand and for this Shahid is learning Garhwali language in the Tehri. Asides Tehri, the film will be shot extensively in other parts of Uttarakhand like Dehradun, Rishikesh, Tehri, Mussoorie, Nainital. The entire cast and crew of the movie will be in Uttarakhand for 2 months.
The film shoot will be wrapped up in the month of May this year and official poster of the movie will be released in June 2018. The music rights of the film are acquired by T-Series and the movie is scheduled to release on 31 August 2018.
